    Your challenge:

Incontinence moisture can lead to painful skin breakdown or even infection.

    Solution:

Our thick, ultra-soft Shield Barrier Cream Cloths contain a skin protectant to seal out incontinence moisture. Unlike messy creams and lotions, our all-in-one cloths make sure you protect skin with each cleanup.

Shield Barrier Cream Cloths make it easy to protect skin from incontinence moisture that can lead to a condition that nurses call Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis, or IAD. IAD is inflammation or damage that can occur to the skin around the genital area after contact with urine or feces.2

Unlike other pastes and creams, each cloth contains our long-lasting dimethicone barrier cream, which goes on clear so you can monitor skin for signs of redness or irritation. The all-in-one cloths are gentle on skin, yet strong enough to stand up during cleanup.

    • Gentle, rinse-free cleansers help clean skin
    • Enriched with moisturizers to keep skin soft
    • 3% dimethicone barrier seals out wetness to treat and protect skin
    • Portable package

Our 3% dimethicone formula was proven equivalent to traditional tube barrier creams by Northwestern University's Department of Dermatology.3 Unlike those sticky, hard to remove creams, our dimethicone barrier dries and comes in a convenient cloth, not a tube.

    • Expensive
The barrier cream cloths are fantastic, but are VERY often out-of-stock. The only one that is most available is the 3-pack, which are not resealable and more expensive to boot. I am beginning to think that only making the 3- pack available is a conscious decision by Sage to increase their profit margin?

We were introduced to these in the hospital. We ordered a quantity from SAGE. Good price and fast shipping. We keep them handy here at home, and in the car/truck, and in our travel trailer. Makes for very sanitary clean-up and for better personal hygiene. The package easily opens and closes.

It absolutely provides a cream barrier to promote excellent skin protection and prevent skin damage, which leads to serious problems for the patient. Ease of use, economical in price and good results, should be required for all patients needing this kind of protection!

We used Shield Barrier Cloths in caring for my parents. My Mother never had a bed sore or any skin breakdown. My Father never had a bed sore until we had to put him in a neglectful nursing home. Shield Barrier Cloths are wonderful. They really protect your skin. My Parents loved them and I still use them. Thanks for such a great product. Definitely worth the money.

These particular wipes have helped so much in cleaning and lubricating the skin. They moisturize as they clean to protect the skin. This helps to prevent breakdown of the skin which could cause other medical issues. I recommend this product for anyone who is incontinent

    Comfort Shield Barrier Cream Cloths

These cloths are the reason that my husband does not have any skin issues. In the 2 1/2 years since my husband experienced two strokes he has been in and out of several hospitals and rehab nursing homes for therapy. In each one of them he either had dermatitis on his bottom or had to be given an antifungal to get rid of the problem. Only in our local hospital that used the Comfort Shield Barrier Cream Cloths did he have no issues. When we went home, I found the company where I could purchase them for our home use. He has not had a problem once since he has been home almost 2 years. I will always have these cloths to use to cleanse him and protect him from skin issues.

We haven't used this product for that many days but it does seem to be helping clear up the yeast infection in the groin area. It doesn't leave the mess like the nyastatin and desitin cream we have been using.

    • Thick and absorbent
    Cons:
    • Pricey but worth the extra cost
The wipe is thick and absorbent and cleans very well. It's also a larger size than some other wipes. It's much better than other wipes we've have that are thin and flimsy.

My wound care doctor told me to use barrier wipes on the areas of my body where I am susceptible to pressure sores. I was so pleased to find these wipes. They cost about a third of what the other wipes cost, and they are just as good or better than the others I have tried.

    • Size
The NICU started us with these wipes when my twins were there and we've been purchasing them for home. Because they are so large, we end up cutting them into smaller pieces to use on our babies, which is a bit labor intensive. They're still very convenient for when we need to apply barrier cream.
