Cream Cloth Review

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
  • Not resealable
The Cream Cloth product is fine, I use the Large 8.5x9 inch size. It cleans and protects as advertised. However, the packaging could be improved, especially in the 3 pack (Item 7503). The 3 pack is not resealable. I do not use all 3 cloths at one time. I must roll up the pack with the unused cloths still inside and secure it with a rubber band to keep the cloths from drying out. Also, there seems to be a ongoing shortage of the 8 pack (Item 7905). Every time I visit the Sage Products website to reorder, the 8 pack is always listed as being on back order. This could be due to the popularity of that item but it does seem to be an ongoing problem.

Cream Cloths

Cons:
The cloths are very efficient for being somewhat moist and cleaning an area being able to turn the cloth over and re/use due to its larger size, however, there are only 3 in a package and it is a hassle to have to keep opening packages if you need more than a few.

Dislike the 3 pack

  • Very inconvenient not resealable
First the 24 pack was taken away and now the 8 pack is gone. We are forced to buy the 3 pack which is not resealable. This is ridiculous and I don't like the 3 pack. Very inconvenient !!!!!

The Shield barrier cream cloths work great for at home. I learned of this product while in the hospital. If a person has a sore bottom from surgery or incontinence, this is what you need. It's very soft, cleans well and feels better than a plain wipe.

Excellent product poor packaging

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
I have been using the Barrier Cream Cloths for a number of years and have found nothing that compares to the quality of the wipe. It is strong, large enough and the cream on the cloths is very effective. HOWEVER, the packing has gotten poorer and poorer. At first I could get large packages that were resealable. These were done away with and the packages were 8 cloths so many more packages to store, but the packages were still resealable. Now the packages are only 3 cloths and the packages don't reseal. Storing these small slippery packages has required me to find a new storage location and when I open the package the other 1 or 2 left will be much dryer when I go to use them again. I pay the price because of the quality product, but the quality goes down because of the packaging.

I was introduced to the Shield Wipes while in the hospital being treated for radiation burns. They literally saved my butt! The lotion on them is so soothing. I love the size and thickness of the wipes as well. I immediately ordered some for my continued healing at home. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without them. I recommend these to anyone that has a senior member of their family to take care of. We are now using them on my 90 year old Aunt!

My mom has struggled with IAD for over 20 years and has tried so many products. But when our son began working for Stryker he suggested she try Comfort Shield. What a difference it has made for her! Totally healed and no more pain. Highly recommend this product!

I first used this product during a hospitalization. I was so impressed with cloths, I ordered a six months supply of packages of eight. They are great to use between baths. They keep me from getting yeast infections under my breast and stomach. When I started to run out I tried to order more of the eight to a pack but only the three to a pack was available. The 8 pack has a self closure, which keeps the cloths moisture. The three pack does not. After using one, I put the rest in a zip lock bag. That worked fine, but I wish it had the self closure. These cloths have become invaluable to me. I hope I will be able to find the 8 pack again soon.

Great for skin folds too

I bought these to use on my mom's skin folds. They are AWESOME for that! Her skin cleared up in a day or two, and helps so much. These are so much better than messy first aid cream and tummy liners. The only thing I wish for is larger quantity and re-sealable packs.

Great product relieving rashes in skin folds

Rating:

Love this helpful product. Cons I dont like the 3 wipes package that this product came in. It doesn't have a reclosable package like the other packages had.

Great product...lousy packaging!

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the wipes. They work as advertised and are better than Desitin or similar product. My issue is that they are packed three to a pack:

1. As a care giver and a user of this product it is usual to use two wipes per occurrence leaving one wipe for next occurrence and necessitates the opening of another package. This creates more trash, more packages laying out and more packages to store. Whereas a package of a dozen or more reduces all aforementioned issues.

2. Current packaging seems to be designed solely to inflate earnings especially for hospitals and nursing facilities. A resealable pack with a dozen or two would make more sense. It would reduce the storage issues brought about by dozens of packages.. Reduces staff work; negating the back and forth to replenish supplies and accounting/charting.

3. Reduces environmental impact through reduced waste.

Hospital proofed

Rating:
Pros:
  • soft and protective
Cons:
If you have an accident they are the best. When I was in the hospital they used them to clean me up, since I could not clean myself. When I finished my rehab and was able to clean myself I purchased these as soon as I could. They are moist and large. Very helpful and helps in saving the toilet paper waste.

I have used these cloths for awhile off and on for over a year and they are great for my mom. They are soft, very moist and do not chafe her skin. One problem I have is with having to use the smaller packaging, 3 pack, I did like the 24 package that they discontinued, when they went to the 8 pack that was okay, but the 3 pack is just more waste than is necessary.

Love this product butI am very disappointed with the 3 pack

Rating:
Pros:
  • best feminine hygiene product
Cons:
  • not enough product in package
This is the best product I've used for feminine hygiene. The only thing I have been disappointed in is the decrease in the amount of product per package. I started using Sage when it was 24 per pack & had a plastic box to keep it in. Then they went to 8 in the pack, now 3?! This isn't something I take with me and makes it more inconvenient for home use, plus the 8 pack were not as moist and would dry out. I would really like if you went back to the larger 24 per package. Thank you

My dislikes with this product. The way you have to open the pack , need a easy access on the front of the 3 packs. The better value is a 8 pack are 24 pack they do not sell anymore I'm very disappointed.

Now ONLY 3-packs despite repeated customer calls for 8 or 24 packs - DISAPPOINTING

Rating:
Pros:
  • Quality of wipes
Cons:
  • PACKAGING. Bring back 24 and 8-packs!
Product is good. Years ago, before the recall, it was terrific. It's never been quite as good, but it's still better than anything else to prevent irritation and infections. I stopped buying it for a long time after the 24-packs were discontinued. I now buy some to fill out my subscribe and save order, waiting for the larger packs. I am now DONE. As we get older and more environmentally conscious, it is unconscionable that the packaging holds fewer wipes (therefore requiring more packaging) and is harder to open (especially with arthritic hands) and keep closed (I no longer buy plastic baggies, so that is not an option). For a company that otherwise has excellent customer service, I find the unwillingness to accommodate the very reasonable requests of your users to be absurd. If your current supplier can't provide the packaging, get another. This is very sad. Maybe new management will fix the problem. I hope so.

Spouse has used these for several years and finding them in stock has become more difficult; however, found more than I could ever afford in stock here on line. Also appreciate the item having a convenient accessible box for easy use instead of multiple packages just thrown in an extremely oversize box requiring the flaps be manipulated in order to access the back-stock each time a few packages are needed.

Sage Barrier Clothes

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
These are GREAT as I have a special needs child that is allergic to every wipe but these. Her bottom use to stay red, break out in spots and even bleed at times but since we found Sage no problems! I only hate the fact they they are only coming in a 3 pack now instead of the 8 which was so much better even to carry in diaper bag, hopefully they will have them back soon. Thank you for such a great product.

Sage Comfort Shield Barrier Cream Cloths

Rating:
Pros:
  • comfort
  • non sore
  • nothing like them
Cons:
I have been using this product for over a year. The thing I really like about these cloths is that they protect your skin from breaking out. They do not prevent your body from sweating, they protect your body from getting sick. Before I knew about these cloths I always got really sore during the summer. Used to try several products from powders to creams etc. Nothing really worked. If you have ever been affected as I have, there was always an odor from areas where you sweat and your skin would turn bright red. If I go a couple of days without using the cloths in warm weather I will turn bright red. When I start using the cloths, within two days my skin is back to normal. My life is so much more comfortable since I discovered these cloths.
