This is the exact model number used in the hospital with the "turn care" system. Grateful it is available as we do not want to experiment with something else.personal care is unique for every patient, and when they get a formula that works, EVERY ingredient in that recipe is important. any change has "ripple" effects that are not easy to handle or get used to. Sincerely the Karles

I am very satisfied with the large pads. My medical supply store does not carry them so I was very happy to find them online. They are easy to order and arrive at my door within a reasonable time frame. I recommend them for anyone who needs this product.

I take care of my mother alone; she no longer walks and spends all of her time in the bed. I use this pad continuously even though she typically does not have leaks because I'm able to use it to turn her onto her side. I am not able to use any other pads in this way because they are too thin, so they tear. The pad is almost like another person for me when I need to move her. It's great/indispensable.

My sister lives in another state. Her husband needs full time care and is at home. I sent her microclimate body pads for him and she says it is a blessing as it keeps him comfortable and keeps her from having to wash the bedclothes so often. They also are strong. God love her and she has no help at home so anything to help is a blessing.

great for bed-baths

Rating:
Pros:

Cons:
this pad protects the mattress while giving bed baths. it may prove useful as her incontinence worsens, but for now it is just what we need to keep moisture and odors at bay.

Great product for 16 year old in wheelchair

Cons:
I have a son with multiple disabilities. Night time accidents are a fact of life. These sheets are the answer to years of looking to protect a mattress. We use ours under sheets and above mattress protector. We use three to four per week. There are not cheap but they work like nothing else.

large pads

Cons:
The pads help with wound care and cut down on the laundry of cleaning sheets. It is how the industry moved from cloth diapers to disposable diapers. much more sanitary.

micro pad maxi happy

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
This pad protects bedding and rarely leaks through. What's nice is that they are so sturdy you can move the patient around easily by moving the pad. Also a bonus is that if the patient didn't leak through to the pad, it can be reused.

Microclimate Bed Pad

Rating:
Pros:
  • microclimate
Cons:
We use these pads on top of the turn assist system which is very useful while turning my quadriplegic husband. The microclimate pads keep his body temperature more regulated and cover more than any other bed pad. The area not too thick and do not shed any fibers, etc. as other pads do. This pad is a must in my books for quality care.

I am a T8 Paraplegic, and have been dealing with severe pressure ulcer wounds. Have suffered wounds on left hip, left ischium, peri-anal etc. Perspiration and urinary incontinence can be detrimental to skin condition, and possible future pressure breakdowns. These Microclimate Body pads are ideal for wicking moisture away from the skin preventing moisture buildup. A bit pricey but large size can be cut to fir affected area, and they are lightweight but durable.

Way better then the Depends like diapers I use to put on my mother who has advanced alzheimers and dimentia. I use them at night when most of her accidents occur. Helps tremendously with reducing her uti. To me that's enough said.
