My mother has been confined to bed for some time. Heel breakdown started to occur. The hospital had provided a heel protector boot. However a home health worker recommended I pay privately for this product. It was worth the price. It is far more substantial and I recommend any family caring for a loved one pay the long price for this product. Skin breakdown can result in death. A small price to pay for good health.

My 95 year dad has a wound on his outer ankle bone. It is taking its time to heal, but the wound has shown greater healing once he began wearing the boot 24/7. His wound doctor explained that every time a wound is bumped or has pressure on it, it is injured. The boot is like a comfortable sleeping bag! I highly recommend the boot.

Price was good, much lower than pharmacies. Well made boot that helps to protect heel. Probably works optimally if patient is completely immobile. But overall it does help.
